Welcome to the FAQ page of the Topical Resources Educational Publishers website. We've tried to anticipate any queries that you might have. If you can't find the answer to your query here, please  email sales@topical-resources.co.uk and we will do our best to help you out.


I can't open a PDF file I have downloaded from your site.

We recommend Adobe Reader 6 or above.

 

How do I place a School Order?

Placing a school order couldn’t be easier. Simply select the products you wish to purchase in the normal manner using the shopping cart and then select the ‘School Order’ option after ‘Buy Now’.

You will be asked for your school name, address, telephone number and postcode. You will also need to provide an ‘Order Number’ or ‘Name of Authorising member of staff’.

Your order will then be automatically emailed to us and dealt with as quickly as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: Downloads are only available to private customers when paying in advance by credit/debit card. Schools can now order downloads using a school order number or named person provided they have previously set up an account with us.

 

How do I set up a school account?

To register for a secure school account please email sales@topical-resources.co.uk with the following details:

  • School address including postcode
  • Contact telephone number
  • Bursar/ General office email address

We will set up the account and email your office with an access password.

 

How do I place an order?

To place an order on this website, click on the products you wish to purchase and add them to your basket. When you have finished shopping, click on the basket and follow the links through to ‘Buy Securely Now’. We promise not to disclose your details to any other person or organisation.

 

How can I pay for my order?

You may pay using any major credit card. UK schools are given the option to be invoiced.

 

What are the advantages of having a customer account?

Having a customer account makes it much easier for us to help you if you have a query, makes it much quicker for you to order additional products and is a safe place for you to store all your downloads in case they go missing from your computer. We promise not to disclose your details to any other person or organisation.

 

Where can I see your books?

You can see free sample pages on our website.

 

Can I return a download that I’ve bought? 

Downloadable Books: Downloadable electronic books are considered to be services under UK Regulations, rather than goods for the purposes of the Regulations. Our electronic books and supply of service will be available to you on purchase. On purchase of our downloadable products, the performance of our Contract has commenced and you agree there will be no right to cancel or receive a refund on your order.

 

What is the format of your downloads?

Our downloads are supplied as pdf files compatible with any computer running adobe reader so you can print easily from them and also display pages on your Interactive Whiteboard

Why have I been charged VAT on my download?

Unfortunately, downloads, unlike printed books, are subject to VAT.

 

How do I download my e-book?

As a Guest: Once you have paid you must download your product immediately. The 'Download your files here' button will appear under your product. Follow the instructions for downloading the file.

As an Account Holder: Once you have paid for your e-book, go back into your account. Click on the order number and select the blue 'Download your files here' button under the product title. Follow the instructions for downloading the file. Individual account holders have 7 days to do this. School account holders have 28 days to download.

 

I've spotted a mistake in a book. What should I do?

Please tell us! We do proof read our books very carefully, but sometimes mistakes creep through to the final versions. When alerted to a mistake we immediately correct the mistake. We send the person who pointed out the mistake a revised copy.
